"Shotgun Shell" Assembly SystemThis machine produces parts similar to shotgun shells. It is a rotary dial machine. All components are fed via vibratory bowl feeders. Pick and place mechanisms transfer the components to the dial. Four components are fed and assembled (a packing, a wading, a charge and a housing). Probes verify each component is present. Components are pressed together. Good parts are deposited in a bin. Rejected parts are sent to a "reject" bin. An ink jet printer marks each part with a part number, a lot number and the date. This machine produces 30 PPM. |
