Connecting Rod Assembler

Upper and lower connecting rod castings are manually placed into the tooling on a rotary dial. Multiple stations around the dial install the needed components.

• Bolt Station feeds and sets 2 bolts into the connecting rod.
• Bolt Press Station seats the bolts.
• Nut Station feeds two nuts and threads them onto the previously installed bolts. The nuts are tightened to a specific torque setting.
• Bushing Station loads bushings into a magazine and presses one into each connecting rod. Maximum cycle time allowed is 20 seconds per part.
